Kansas City has a lot to celebrate tonight. Most obviously, the Royals chomped the Toronto Blue Jays (with some help from our shelter cats, Ferris Mewler & Scooter) to once again advance to the World Series.
But equally as impressive (in my not-so-humble opinion) are the numbers rolling in from the first day of the ASPCA Mega-Match-a-thon adoption special.
Great Plains SPCA: | 137 |
Wayside Waifs: | 102 |
KC Pet Project: | 61 |
And if you do some basic arithmetic, you'll see that those add up to, well...
Pretty amazing, yeah? 300 pets are sleeping in their forever homes tonight. And there are two more days left in the special.
Epic.
ETA: Updated totals for the weekend:
Great Plains SPCA: | 278 |
Wayside Waifs: | 226 |
KC Pet Project: | 166 |
Total: | 670 |
So amazing!
